A C1 licence allows you to drive rigid vehicles weight up to 7.5 tonnes and with a trailer up to 750 kg. To obtain a C1 driving licence apply for a provisional licence.
To obtain a provisional license, fill out the D2 form. D4 form for medical application. Send these forms to DVLA. You will get a provisional licence within 2-3 weeks. After that pass both the theory and practical C1 driving tests to obtain category C1. The theory tests consist of two tier-based tests. The first tier is multiple-choice questions and the second tier is hazard perception tests. The practical test checks the ability to control the vehicle safely.
